ANNE GIARDINI, Carol Shields’s daughter, has published two novels, The Sad Truth about Happiness and Advice for Italian Boys, and is working on a third. Anne is an executive, a board director and a lawyer, and is the eleventh chancellor of Simon Fraser University.
