HAUGHIAN, KAREN was a founding member of the Montreal publishing house Nuage Editions in 1986, the first desktop publisher in Quebec. In 1997 she moved the press to Winnipeg and in 2000 renamed it Signature Editions. Unabashedly literary, the press is committed to discovering and developing Canadian writing of literary merit, regardless of genre. Its award-winnng list includes both established authors and first-book authors. It currently publishes, on average, 10 books per year, in the areas of fiction, literary non-fiction and poetry. New titles in 2017 include festival authors Joan B. Flood’s Left Unsaid and Jim Nason’s Spirit of a Hundred Thousand Dead Animals.
