About the film:
Dream, Girl highlights U.S. and Canadian, female entrepreneurs from brand new start ups to million dollar industries, in a mission to stop telling girls they can be anything they want to be and show them what it means to be a leader. Screened by the National Women’s Business Council at the White House in May 2016 as part of the lead up to the United State of Women Summit, it has been igniting audiences across the continent.

Note: The film and event itself is aimed at the grade-7 age range and up.

Background and Charity Support:
A group of passionate volunteers have brought the Sea-to-Sky community together in Whistler to celebrate the United Nations recognized International Day of the Girl each year since 2013. The three previous events each motivated and inspired a sold out theatre of 250 people and collectively raised over $10,000 for our charity partners – Howe SoundWomen’s Centre and One Horizon. Both organizations focus on the protection, education, and entrepreneurial support of girls and women and we are proud to partner with them again for 2016.
