P̓ÁQ̓EMÚL (SHELBY DAN) from the Lil’wat Nation began working at the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre in 2022 after graduating from the IYA program. Named by her aunty in 2019, P̓áq̓emúl means “Blooming Wildflower.” Through her work, she discovered a passion for storytelling, encouraged by family, friends and colleagues.
