AMY BLACK is the Publisher of Doubleday Canada and Bond Street Books, imprints at Penguin Random House Canada. She got her start in publishing twenty years ago, working in a variety of roles at small- and medium-sized publishing houses before beginning at Random House Canada in 2001 and then Doubleday Canada, where for a decade she headed up its Young Adult program. Amy has the good fortune to work alongside a group of exceptionally talented editors at Doubleday on the imprint’s list of 40+ titles a year, which includes the 2017 Giller Prize-winning Bellevue Square by Michael Redhill, Therese Mailhot’s bestselling memoir, Heart Berries, blockbuster thrillers from Shari Lapena and Linwood Barclay, as well as major international literary publications from Haruki Murakami and Marlon James.
