CHARLES DEMERS is an author, comedian, actor, playwright, screenwriter, and political activist. He is one of the most frequently returning stars of CBC Radio’s hit comedy The Debaters. His collection of essays, Vancouver Special, was shortlisted for the Hubert Evans Non-fiction Prize. He is the author of The Horrors (Douglas & McIntyre), Property Values (Arsenal Pulp Press) and Primary Obsessions (Douglas & McIntyre). The latter is Demers’ first novel in the Dr. Annick Boudreau Mystery Series, for which he draws upon his own long-time experience with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Noonday Dark (Douglas & McIntyre) is the second book in the series. Demers lives in Vancouver, BC.
