TSAWAYSIA SPUKWUS (DOMINIQUE NAHANEE) is of the Squamish Nation and graduated from the IYA program in 2019. Tsawaysia (Dominique) was born in North Vancouver and moved to Squamish when she was 3. Inspired by her mom, Tsawaysia is working on becoming a language speaker so she can teach others. Her ancestral name was passed down from her mom in 2013. She has been involved with the culture ever since she was young, and taught to sing and dance by her mom. She is a Cultural Ambassador, and is part of the Spo7ez Cultural Sharing team.
