ERUM SHAZIA HASAN was born in Canada, raised in France, and is of South Asian heritage. A Sustainable Development Consultant for various UN agencies, she designs initiatives to improve livelihoods, supporting opportunities for women while protecting biodiversity. Her debut novel, We Meant Well, grapples with timely questions about what it means to be charitable, who deserves what, and who gets the power to decide.
