JENNIFER MANUEL is the author of the novel, The Heaviness of Things That Float. A long-time activist in Aboriginal issues, Manuel taught elementary school in the lands of the Tahltan and Nuu-chah-nulth peoples. She lives on Vancouver Island where she runs the TRC Reading Challenge in an effort to get people to read the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Report.
