Chris (C.C.) Humphreys is the author of Plague which won the 2015 Arthur Ellis Award for Best Novel. He was born in Toronto and grew up in the UK. He has acted all over the world and his roles have ranged from Hamlet to Clive Parnell in Coronation Street. Chris has written eight historical novels including Blood Ties, A Place Called Armageddon, and Vlad, The Last Confession. His The French Executioner was runner up for the CWA Steel Dagger for Thrillers 2002, and has been optioned for the screen. Chris’s books have been translated to Russian, Italian, German, Greek, Spanish, Portuguese, Czech, Serbian, Turkish and Indonesian. He has also written a trilogy for young adults ‘The Runestone Saga’. Chris lives on Salt Spring Island, BC, Canada, with his wife and young son.
