HEIGHTON, STEVEN is a critically acclaimed novelist and poet. He received the Governor General’s Award in 2016 for his most recent book of poetry, The Waking Comes Late. This year he published a novel, The Nightingale Won’t Let You Sleep. His other novels include Afterlands, a New York Times Book Review Editors’ Choice, and The Shadow Boxer, a Publishers Weekly Book of the Year. His work has received five National Magazine awards and has appeared in Best English Stories, London Review of Books, Tin House, Best American Poetry, Zoetrope, Best American Mystery Stories, and many others. He also reviews fiction for the New York Times.
