BRIAN KAUFMAN is a writer, editor, and publisher and has been active in the publishing community for over twenty-five years. Mr. Kaufman has ushered over 200 books and 79 issues of subTerrain Magazine into print and has served as the Executive Director of the subTerrain Literary Collective Society since its inception in 1988. In 2009, Mr. Kaufman was a recipient of the City of Vancouver’s Mayor’s Arts Award for his “significant contribution to Vancouver’s arts and cultural community, for shaping Vancouver as a creative city, and for enriching the lives of Vancouver’s citizens.” Brian was given the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2014 Western Magazine Awards.
